Dogs Need Homes
... and sometimes cats
My husband, Todd, and I (Carol) own a communications and security company called
Intermix Technologies
and we are also called "home" for the
Champion Great Danes of Water Dance Danes. Much like you, we are also animal
lovers.
Todd and I have been active in rescue for many years, working with the Mississippi State Kennel Club and the Great Dane Club of America, but the rescue
efforts of Dogs Need Homes...and sometimes cats began on January
6, 2009. We found three little dogs running across the parking lot of our office
between County Line Road and I-55 in Ridgeland, MS. We rounded them up and sent
out one email to about 50 people to try to find them homes. From that one email
we got over ONE THOUSAND inquiries about these darling pups. Since we were bombarded
with phone calls from good hearted people who were willing to open their homes to
such deserving little dogs, we thought that we would try to make the missing link
between these warm hearts and all of the thousands of dogs that are in our local
shelters, vet clinics, or simply abandoned. From that, our
weekly newsletter, Dogs Need Homes...and sometimes cats, was born.
