Where I came from / How I came to the Shelter: My owner gave me up.

My Story

I was brought to CARA because my owner didn't want me any longer. She was getting a pure bred dog and decided that I wasn't good enough to share the yard with a pure bred. I don't understand how she could just give me up so easily after sharing her heart with me since I was a puppy. The folks at CARA say that I am a very sweet girl with an outgoing personality. My favorite things are playing and EATING! I am very food motivated and learn very quickly when given a treat and some love. I also leash trained so I could go places with my new family. I love older children but am a little uncertain about younger ones. Please come adopt me! I am a beautiful girl who just needs someone to love me!

My Story

A good samaritan found me living on the streets but was sure that since I was so sweet I must belong to someone. The good folks at MARL waited for someone to come in looking for me, but no one did. So, here I sit, a little baby kitten all by myself and frightened. Please open your heart and welcome me HOME!

Our Story

We were found in a small neighborhood in Jackson running and playing together. The nice person who found us took us in and took very good care of us and though she loved us, she was unable to keep us. She is a big supporter of MARL and thought that they might be able to find us new forever homes. We love each other and get along well with other animals, but we don't have to be adopted out together. We just want a home to call our own. We look kind of scraggly right now because we haven't had the good care that a Mom and/ or Dad could give us, but in no time we could be great family pets.

MARL rescues many worthy dogs and cats off the streets in hopes of finding them better and warmer places to live, but keep in mind that there are thousands that need homes and therefore MARL must euthanize some to make room for others that may be more "desirable". Please don't allow us to become one of the statistics.
