Where I came from/ How I came to the Shelter:

I came to the shelter when I was a tiny puppy, along with my mother and siblings.

My Story:

I am a beautiful dog with a log-maintenance coat and beautiful eyes. I don't mind being an outside dog as long as you will include me in the family regularly. I am extremely sweet and very affectionate. Sometimes I am a little wary of new dogs and situations, but once I get to know them we always hit it off well. I am very trusting of my people and I love to be hugged.

Harriett needs a home!

Meet Harriett

  • Where dog is located now: ARF
  • Name: Harriett
  • Age: 2-3 years
  • Sex: Female
  • Breed: Bassett Hound mix
  • Color: Brown & Black
  • Size: Medium
  • Neutered/Spayed: Yes
  • House Trained: Unknown
  • Medical Information: Healthy
  • Interaction with Kids: Great
  • Interaction with Dogs: Great
  • Interaction with Cats: Unknown
  • Ideal type of home: I will be a great fit for a household with a more relaxed pace. I have plenty of pep, but I am not a hyper-active dog, and won't need the exercise of many of the larger breeds.

Where I came from/ How I came to the Shelter:

I came to the ranch with my 5 darling puppies when they were very, very young. I have nurtured and cared for them properly, but now they have gotten more rambunctious than I prefer.

Harriett needs a home!

My Story:

I am a bright eyed Basset Hound mix that is very happy to take a nap or roll over and have my belly scratched. I prefer a calmer atmosphere than where I am in my life right now. You see, my puppies are driving me nuts! They are much more playful than I, and they apparently got their father's size because they are already twice my size and running all over me. Help! I have done my motherly duty, but now it is either time for me to go, or they have to go!

Ideal type of Home: We need to be in a home with a secure fenced in yard, but have the ability to come inside and spend time with our family too.

9 Puppies need homes!

Where I came from/ How I came to the Shelter:

We were simply dumped off in the dog run at the Madison Ark in the Middle of the night. Since the Ark's kennels are very full right now, we are still outside in the dog run at the shelter. This is great for us because we get to run and stretch our legs and play until our hearts content, but its not so good for the other dogs. Since we occupy the dog run, they aren't able to go outside and have their "yard time" off the leash. Please come adopt one (or two) us so we can have a family of our own and the other dogs can run and stretch their legs.

9 Puppies need homes!

My Story:

We are all very playful, friendly and outgoing. We would make great family pets because we are great with children and pretty much everyone. We are also very loving and well behaved. All of us are different colors, so you can pick a color you like the most.
