Meet Taxie
Where I came from/ How I came to the Shelter:I had a loving owner but they couldn't keep me anymore so they brought me to Paws so they could help me find someone who will love me and take good care of me. My Story:I am a very sweet little lady and what some may call a "perfect pet" because I am housebroken, nice and calm and I get along well with kids, other dogs and even cats. How could you go wrong with ME?!? Contact for Questions about Adoption:

Meet Chomper
Where I came from/ How I came to the Shelter:My mother was abandoned in West Jackson and the shelter volunteers and staff attempted many times to catch her, but she was always illusive. However, one day as luck would have it, they drove up at just the right time when she was starving just enough to take a chance. They opened the car door and she jumped right in, giving herself and her unborn babies a chance at a better life. A little while later, on Christmas day 2008, she gave birth to the third litter of puppies born at the shelter. They welcomed us with open arms and have given us a wonderful life here, but we are ready to have lives of our own where we will be spoiled and treated like a member of the family. I know you won't believe this, as cute as I am, and my siblings too, no one has adopted a single one of us. I, and all of my siblings are still here at the shelter waiting, and praying, for our special people to come and take us HOME. My Story:My favorite thing in the world is for the shelter volunteers to take me to the lake for a quick swim. I LOVE the WATER!!! Despite my name, Chomper, I am exceptionally sweet and loveable. Although my puppy years were spent at the shelter, I would love to spend the rest of my life in a home. . . with YOU! Please come meet me today and you will see just how wonderful I am. Meet Tessie
My Story:I, along with my mother and siblings, arrived at the shelter a few weeks ago. We all look different, but I am obviously part Dachshund. I am a total sweetheart and will make a great addition to a family looking for a small dog. My mother weighs only 15 pounds, and I am sure to be pretty close to that. Where I came from/ How I came to the Shelter:My owner gave me up because he couldn't keep me anymore. My Story:I am a great small dog with very short hair, so if tidiness is a concern, I am a no fuss type of dog. I'm strictly "wash and wear". Contact for Questions about Adoption:

Meet Phoenix
Where I came from/ How I came to the Shelter:When I was looking for a nice place to call home, I started asking around on the streets for a good place to go. Every kitty pointed me toward a homeless rescue mission that takes in needy pets. I am so smart that I realized I would have the best chance for happy life by getting a good start. My Story:I am a very sweet and loving kitty just looking for someone to give me a chance to prove it. Contact for Questions about Adoption:
