Where I came from/ How I came to the Shelter:

Recently, the people I called "family" put me in their car, went down the road and then arbitrarily pulled over and just threw me right onto the street and then sped off. Through all of this tragedy, I know that God must really love me to put a saving angel in the right place, at the right time, because I was scooped right up by some kind people who witnessed this ruthless act and they saved me from getting run over or worse- living a long, hard life on the street. They brought me to the ARF shelter, where these kind people here can only imagine what I may have endured before I was dumped like trash, but now my life is off to a new and greater start!

My Story:

I know that I have a new lease on life because I am determined to live each day to he fullest! I am full of energy and have tons of personality. I just can't wait to meet my new family. Please adopt me and take me to my new home!

Max needs a home!

Meet Max

  • Where animal is located now: Madison Ark
  • Name: Max
  • Age: 5+
  • Sex: Male
  • Breed: Mix
  • Color: Brindle
  • Size: Medium
  • Neutered/Spayed: Yes
  • House Trained: No
  • Medical Information: Healthy
  • Interaction with Kids: Great
  • Interaction with Dogs: Great
  • Interaction with Cats: Great
  • Ideal type of home: I love all people and other dogs and cats, in fact I am a pretty calm fella that is just looking for someone to love me. I would be a great pet for someone who is not looking for a puppy that will be full of energy and distructive, but rather, a mellow guy. I would be good for small children because I am not too rowdy or even for someone older because I'm not likely to push you down or run under your feet.

Where I came from/ How I came to the Shelter:

I was brought in as a stray, but the folks at ARF know that I am missing someone because I always have a far away look in my eyes, and I am always looking down the street to see if my people are coming for me.

My Story:

As heart breaking as my story is, and as much as I miss my people, I hope that someone will ease my pain soon. A new family might even be better than my old one, but anything is better than a life at the shelter. These people here are very nice and they see to my needs but there is nothing like the love of your own person, or family. I promise to be a good dog. I never bark, I keep my kennel clean and I am perfectly healthy. I am no spring chicken, but I have a lot of life left in me. In fact, many people consider this to be a good thing because my old family got to suffer through the puppyhood stage, now you can enjoy my mature stage. I deserve a family and comfy bed!
