Where I came from/ How I came to the Shelter:

Four long years ago I was found in the dead of winter hiding outside of the Country Club of Jackson. I was just a puppy and desperate for a helping hand. Thankfully someone brought me to the shelter where at least I would be warm and have a full tummy.

My Story:

I quickly settled in and made tons of friends. I am a real sweetheart and walk well on a leash. I get along well with some dogs, but not all. I love to have my belly scratched and take long walks. . . . as long as I can take a break every once and a while. I have been at the shelter far too long and I am ready for my new home because there is no reason that I should have been at the shelter this long.

  • Age: 2 Years
  • Sex: Male
  • Breed: American Bulldog mix
  • Color: Tan & white
  • Size: Medium
  • Neutered/Spayed: Yes
  • House Trained: Yes
  • Medical Information: Healthy
  • Interaction with Kids: Great with older children
  • Interaction with Dogs: Great
  • Interaction with Cats: Great
  • Ideal type of home: I would do best in a single person family and particularly with a male with no children. Older children would be ok. I will take a special person for me. Could that person be you?

Where I came from/ How I came to the Shelter:

I was adopted from the Madison Ark almost two years ago and returned recently because my previous family did not have the time to spend with me. Time that I needed so badly.

My Story:

I am a very sweet and loving boy, I love to go on long walks and love to be around people. I can be a little kennel aggressive because I have a good bit of energy built up inside but I also have a lot of love built up as well. Sometimes I make noises that come across as a growl, but what I really mean to say is "Walk me. . . love me. . . please!" One I get out of my kennel I will lick you and love all over you. I just love attention!

Harley needs a home!

Meet Harley

  • Where animal is located now: Jackson Friends of Animal Shelter at Flowood Petsmart Adoption Center
  • Name: Harley
  • Age: 2-3 Years
  • Sex: Male
  • Breed: Domestic Shorthair Cat
  • Color: Classic Tabby
  • Size: Large
  • Neutered/Spayed: Yes
  • House Trained: Yes
  • Medical Information: neutered, flea treatment, dewormed and up to date on shots
  • Interaction with Kids: Good
  • Interaction with Dogs: Unknown
  • Interaction with Cats: Good
  • Ideal type of home: I would love a home where I could hang out and watch birds through the window or go outside on supervised outings once I became familiar with your safe yard. I will sit by you contentedly. I really am not the clingy type so I don't need to plaster myself to you like some cats do. This is good since I am BIG. But don't get me wrong, I like a good head rub and scratch under the chin.

Where I came from/ How I came to the Shelter:

I was removed from the Jackson Pound by Jackson Friends of the Animal Shelter and briefly placed in a foster home. Then the nice people at Petsmart let me come here to be adopted. It is very important for you to know I am FLV and FIV negative. These are two viruses that roaming males can get but I am clean!

My Story:

I was a family pet but since I had anesthesia the other week when I was rendered useless to "the ladies", my memory is fuzzy. Somehow the family left me and I roamed the streets of Jackson looking for a meal. I vaguely remember being a daddy several times but being a traveling man, had to move on to find food. I became skinny and was picked up by Animal Control as a stray. Jackson Friends thought I was a handsome classic tabby cat with big green eyes who had obviously been someone's pet. Now I hang out in the display cage at Flowood Petsmart eating. I am no longer skinny because I partake of the all you can eat kitty buffet. Yesterday three cats and kittens barged into my cage. They used my box, drank my water and ate my food. Then one of the audacious children went into my condo! They apparently were not afraid of me, despite my size! I did not kiss or growl because I figured they just wanted to pay homage to the great and wonderful Harley. I was named for Harley Davidson. The volunteer wanted to put a little biker jacket on me, but I said "No way! I am not a dog!! I do not have to amuse humans by wearing dumb little outfits." So yesterday the volunteer put a blue collar on me. So now I wear an accessory. At least it is not pink. I guess they will want to do my nails next. If you are interested in more information about me, please contact Dell Zubkowski.
